The Strong Island Derby Revolution (SIDR) is recruiting female skaters, officials and NSO's (non-skating officials). Must be 21yrs or older. Skating experience is a plus but we're willing to train the right people.

On Tuesday, March 22, you're invited to participate in a FREE BOOTCAMP of basic derby skills, meet the other members of SIDR and learn more about roller derby. To participate in the Bootcamp, you will need the following gear:

Quad Roller Skates
Elbow pads, knee pads and wrist guards
Helmet
Mouthguard - must bring own

Joining us will be Josie Setzler. Josie is a member of the group Witness Against Torture. She resides in rural NW Ohio. Here is a quote from Josie: “For years the administration barely even tried to close the prison. All the while, men detained there suffered physical and psychological abuse, including by forced-feeding. Right wing demagogues repeated the vicious lie that all the prisoners are 'worst of the worst,' and erected legislative barriers to closing Guantanamo.
