Ed Roller returns to host this Sunday’s edition of JOTA with another perspective on the life of the late drummer, pianist, songwriter, sideman and bandleader Jack DeJohnette (1942-2025). In this musical homage to one of jazz’s modern innovators we will play tunes from the Standards Trio with Keith Jarrett and Gary Peacock, Gateway with John Abercrombie and Dave Holland, His band Special Edition, a one off with John Scofield and John Medeski along with a set from the Cuniform Records Bandcamp weekend special album offerings. WUSB super listener Marto joins in bringing few records to play as well.
