Ed Roller hosts this week’s Jazz on the Air with a musical tribute to the late jazz innovator Jack DeJohnette (1942–2025). The program features selections from DeJohnette’s work with the Standards Trio, Gateway, Special Edition, and rare collaborations with John Scofield, John Medeski, and a 1966 club date with McCoy Tyner, Henry Grimes, and Joe Henderson. Also included are tracks from Belgian pianist Martina Verhoeven (live at Roadburn 2014) and Cuniform Records’ Bandcamp Weekend releases.
