Our featured guest is Michael Faulkender. At the Univ. of Maryland, Mike teaches classes in the MBA programs at the Smith School. He also serves as the Director of the Master of Finance MBA program. Mike’s research focuses on empirical corporate finance in the areas of capital structure, risk management, corporate liquidity, and executive compensation. During this program, we gave away tickets for five upcoming concerts - Bob Schneider (10/12) and Jars of Clay (10/10) at the Highline Ballroom; Mary Chapin-Carpenter (10/22), Blue Oyster Cult (10/18) and Jimmy Eat World (10/20) at The Space at Westbury. In addition to the usual blend of styles, we paid tribute to Janis Joplin on the 44th anniversary of her passing.
