on www.WUSB.FM tomorrow 1:00PM … our program will follow up on our discussion last week on Democratic Socialism. what is it and why hasn’t the United States embraced its core principles like most other developed democracies.

We will go without our featured interview today and do some historically correct, if not politically correct “Free Form Radio.”

NOTE ABOUT FM SIGNAL: due to ice buildup, our transmitter is still being worked on. if you know anyone that can't tune in, please encourage them to listen on their computers or other devices.

For music today … some classic Richie Havens!!

Sunday Street playlist for 02/16/2014

Lots of new releases on today's program along with a visit from Bill Herman of Paradiddle Records to announce a benefit concert at The University Cafe on Saturday, April 5th at 8 P.M. "Keep Me In Your Heart: A Long Island Musicians' Tribute to Warren Zevon" will feature a host of area musicians sharing interpretations of well-known and lesser-known Zevon songs. Information at www.universitycafe.org

The concert will benefit WUSB-FM and help with the expenses associated with repairing our damaged transmitter. Recent storms have had their impact on the transmitter and as a consequence, our signal has been reduced dramatically. It is unlikely the University will assist us with this cost so we need to raise these funds by ourselves. Hopefully, our listeners will come to our rescue.
