Our featured guest is Mark Setton. Mark Setton, D.Phil., has studied and published works on East Asian philosophy for the past 30 years. He earned his B.A. and M.A. at Sungkyunkwan University, the only Confucian university in Asia. He has taught here at Stony Brook University, the University of California at Berkeley, and Oxford University, where he earned his doctorate. He is presently teaching East Asian philosophy and world religions, as well as his favorite course “Perspectives on Happiness,” at the University of Bridgeport.

And … in our studio today, a rare visit from activist Hanna Essenburg. Hanna is involved in various various activist programs down in Florida where she resides most often. these include One Struggle, an anti-capitalist group. Her main concern is what type of a world do we want to leave to future generations & teaching her 3 year old niece, Mia & 5 year old nephew, Liam that the world doesn’t revolve around toys -- toys have a life-cycle / environmental consequences. Hanna is a fan of many writers and thinkers on the left, including economist / historian Gar Alperovitz: Six Economic Steps to a Better Life and Prosperity for All.
