Tonight - Phil Minissale: Live on the Long Island Sound!

Tonight on "The Long Island Sound" local musician Phil Minissale will join DJ Eve live in the studio for an acoustic performance. Dubbed the “Long Island Blues Boy” when he first appeared in public at the age of eighteen on Long Island, NY in 2006, Phil is fast becoming one of the premiere finger-style guitarists on the east coast. At just 22 years old, Phil is a seasoned performer, appearing at music venues, folk clubs, festivals and colleges from Maine to Georgia and has an upcoming tour of Italy!

THiNK Out Loud returns for it's second season interviewing Dr. Skiena, who was part of the college team that designed Apple's Ipad prototype.


There will be an amusing interview tomorrow from 9:00am - 10:00am on CLAM Radio with musician Ed Palermo. Ed brings his big band to the Dix Hills Performing Arts Center on Feb.5th and he talks about his love for arranging big band Zappa music plus sheds some insight on his musical arranging techniques. He also talks about his relationship with FZ's widow Gail Zappa and his time working with Aretha Franklin and the late James Brown.
