OUR FEATURED INTERVIEW is with writer and arts administrator, Jane Weissman. She is a longtime member of Artmakers Inc, an artist-run, politically oriented community mural organization that creates high quality public art relevant to the lives and concerns of people in their neighborhoods. With artist Janet Braun-Reinitz, she wrote the cultural history, On the Wall: Four Decades of Community Murals in New York City (University Press of Mississippi, 2009). Their article "Community, Consensus, and the Protest Mural" appeared in the Fall 2005 issue of Public Art Review. http://www.artmakersnyc.org

You can meet Jane and view the murals exhibition at Stony Brook University on Wednesday, Dec. 9, 4:00PM in the Humanities Building, Room 1013. Park conveniently in the main entrance/admin building parking garage. The exhibit is right off the lobby of the Humanities Building behind the Admin Building. TELL THEM WUSB SENT YOU!

We will also be featuring singer-songwriter John Hiatt. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Hiatt
