Today's program noted the recent passings of Phil Everly and Sarah Elizabeth Campbell, played some tracks from some of the nominees for BBC Radio 2 Folk Albums of the year, featured tracks from new albums by Jack Williams, Guy Clark, Billie Joe Armstrong and Norah Jones, and concluded with an in-studio visit from blues great, Guy Davis.

Today's "turning of the year" edition of Sunday Street was devoted to some of the outstanding releases of the past year. We could have easily played several hours more but touched on as many of them as we could during the program. We'll be likely to play some more of them on next Sunday's program. Steve Matteo, who writes about popular music for Long Island Pulse, joined us to discuss the past year in music and share a number of his favorites. Today's program also looked towards 2014 with a fine new release from Tim Grimm slated to appear this week.
