Gabriel Bauer’s newest film GLOW is about Swiss "It Girl" Irene Staub, the fierce, feminist, fashion icon, punk singer, and actor who charmed everyone from Catherine Deneuve to Felllini, David Bowie and Mick Jagger. She was also a LGBTQ cult figure who starred in Ulrike Ottinger's 1977 film Madame X, An Absolute Ruler.

THE SHYLOCK AND THE SHAKESPEAREANS is a darkly humorous retelling of The Merchant of Venice, written and directed by Edward Einhorn.

In ancient Venice, of sorts, a mob of white supremacists calling themselves the Shakespeareans has taken over public discourse. Jacob, a Jewish diamond merchant, finds himself entangled with Antonio, a member of the Shakespeareans. Jacob’s daughter Jessica has fallen in love with the son of Asian immigrants. And in Belmont, a young heiress named Portia subjects her suitors to a strange, nonsensical game. When Antonio’s business encounters hardship, he reneges on a debt with Jacob then spreads the rumor Jacob wants him dead. A trial in a kangaroo court follows.

Director Mary Harron Talks Dalíland & American Psycho on Tom Needham’s SOUNDS OF FIlM

DALÍLAND stars Ben Kingsley as the titular Salvador Dalí, one of the most world-renowned artists of the 20th century and focuses on the later years of the strange and fascinating marriage between Dalí and his wife, Gala (Barbara Sukowa), as their seemingly unshakable bond begins to stress and fracture.

Set in New York and Spain in 1974, the film is told through the eyes of James (Christopher Briney), a young assistant keen to make his name in the art world, who helps the eccentric and mercurial Dalí prepare for a big gallery show. Rupert Graves, Suki Waterhouse, Andreja Pejic and Ezra Miller also star.
