HBO’s THE SUPER BOB EINSTEIN MOVIE celebrates the life and legacy of the late actor, writer and producer Bob Einstein. Written, produced, and directed by Danny Gold and produced by George Shapiro and Aimee Hyatt, THE SUPER BOB EINSTEIN MOVIE features some of Einstein’s greatest comedic contributions, including his iconic alter-ego Super Dave Osborne, his work both behind and in front of the camera on “The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour,” and his defining role as the unforgettable Marty Funkhouser on HBO’s “Curb Your Enthusiasm.”

The program airs Thursday, December 30, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

YOU’RE WATCHING VIDEO MUSIC BOX chronicles the longest-running music video show in the world, Video Music Box, launched and hosted in New York City by visionary DJ and MC Ralph McDaniels. Since its debut in 1983, Video Music Box has remained a Hip Hop mainstay, with McDaniels (or “Uncle Ralph,” as he’s known to legions of fans) serving as a leading Hip Hop influencer, tastemaker and documentarian, showcasing and debuting Hip Hop videos and introducing viewers to future stars like Jay Z, LL Cool J, Nas, Nicki Minaj and Fat Joe long before they were icons of the genre.

From the Beastie Boys to Run DMC to Madonna to Warhol and Basquiat, Powell documented the music, fashion and art scenes of the 1980s and ’90s in downtown New York.

Powell became known as “The Rickster” – a man who wasn’t just covering the scene, he was the scene. RICKY POWELL: THE INDIVIDUALIST is directed by Josh Swade and produced by TIME Studios and SWADE Films.

On Saturday, November 27, WUSB is celebrating Stony Brook University's rich history of amazing concerts from world renowned bands and musicians, going back 60 years.

From 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, enjoy 12 hours of music from artists who have played at Stony Brook University. We'll have a few of them join us live on air while we unearth some live gems from our archives.

Joe V will kick us off at 10:00 AM with music from James Taylor, NRPS, Jerry Garcia and the Grateful Dead.

Then at 1:00 PM, Charlie J will take the airwaves with a tribute to NRBQ.

At 3:00 PM, Mike Katzman joins Kenny Hahn with a Peter Gabriel special, than Marc Green and Bill Darling will play some Hot Tuna and Jefferson Airplane.

Buddy Merriam will come on at 6:00 PM with some Frank Wakefield and the Good Ol' Boys until 8:00 PM.

That's when DJ Bobby B and Kevin K will close out the special with Frank Zappa.

We'll also have Kingfish, Bill Monroe, QSM, Bromberg, Jackson Brownem Janis Joplin, Ian Moby Grape and so much more!
