On Air

Everything Is Broken playlist for 03/01/2011

Today we will continue to explore the brave new world of social media. Our guest is Dave Parry, Assistant Professor of Emerging Media and Communications, UT, Dallas. David studies the ways in which people communicate in the digital age, and prepares students to use new media; how technology, and language as technology, shape the act of reading. We will discuss his analysis of the events in North Africa regarding social media. Parry earned his Ph.D. in English from the University at Albany (SUNY). http://profoundheterogeneity.com/
