Custer Observatory in Southold
This coming Saturday, October 9th, Custer will hold its 32nd Annual Astronomy Jamboree. It will take place at the observatory in Southold. There will be 6 great lectures, including a keynote address by Dr. Ruben Kier (author of "The 100 Best Astrophotography Targets"), as well as a celestial poetry reading session and, weather permitting, a star party beginning at 10:00 PM. Confirmation of attendance for students and for teachers for in-service credit will be available upon request. Since seating is limited, we recommend that folks interested in attending the Jamboree register prior to the event; to do so, please contact: BarbaraLeb@aol.com

NOTE: During the Jamboree, the observatory will be closed to non-registrants; it will re-open at 10:00 PM so everyone can attend the star party. Admission for the star party is the usual general suggested donation of $5 adults, $3 children.

For a detailed schedule and registration form, email me or visit our website:www.CusterObservatory.org
