Former Fox News Host, Gretchen Carlson, Gets Fierce on Tom Needham’s The Sounds of Film

AIRS THURSDAY, APRIL 12, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM.

Gretchen Carlson and director Alison Chernick will be Tom Needham’s exclusive guests this Thursday at 6 P.M. on WUSB’s ‘The Sounds of Film.’

Former Fox News Host, Gretchen Carlson, will speaking to Tom about her book, ‘Be Fierce: Stop Harassment and Take Back Your Power.’ In the book, Gretchen shares her own brave story of fighting back against sexual harassment, and her very public battle for justice. Since then, Gretchen has had a new calling: to empower other women in their struggle against injustice. After Gretchen stood up and spoke out about her situation, women all over the world have joined the movement and began to take back their lives and dignity.

Also on the program is director Alison Chernick, the director of ‘Itzhak.’ The film shines a spotlight on the remarkable life of celebrated violinist, Itzhak Perlman. Chernick does a remarkable job of telling the story of a young polio survivor who came from Poland and Israel to America in order to be taken seriously as a music student when schools only saw his disability. The film also shares personal glimpses into the life of Itzhak and his devoted wife, Toby Perlman, as well as candid moments with Alan Alda and Billy Joel. ‘Itzhak’ will be screening at the Port Jefferson Documentary Festival on Monday, April 16th at 7:00 at Theater Three. Allison Chernick is the scheduled guest speaker. ‘Itzhak’ will have its exclusive U.S. broadcast premiere as part of the ‘American Masters’ series on PBS.
