Don Stratton on Global Rhythms

Tune in this Thursday evening November 30th for a Special Edition of “Witness to History” when Chris LaPorta proudly welcomes USS Arizona survivor Donald Stratton to the Global Rhythms program. Of the 335 Sailors who survived the historical attack on and sinking of the USS Arizona in Pearl Harbor, Mr. Stratton is one of only five remaining to tell the story of that fateful day when the United States was drawn into World War II. His book “ALL THE GALLANT MEN – The First Memoir of a USS Arizona Survivor” was released in 2016.

The book will take you from the Dust Bowl fields of Nebraska where Don grew up to the deck of the USS Arizona on Sunday, December 7, 1941 and beyond to the 75th anniversary of the attack. Mr Stratton’s book will be released in paperback on December 7 th , the 76th anniversary of the bombing of Pearl Harbor.
