Everything Is Broken playlist for 04/29/2014

Our program TUESDAY APRIL 29; 1:00PM EDT will have some updates on world events; especially the scary TPP … AND … in a bit of perhaps only slight departure from politics, we will explore the career of a “lifer” musician complete with some “on the road” tall tales. Should be great fun.

Our featured guest is the terrific singer/songwriter, Todd Snider.
For years, Todd has been one of the most beloved country-folk singers in the US, compared to Dylan, Tom Petty, John Prine, and dozens of others. He's become not only a new-century Dylan but a modern-day Will Rogers, an everyman whose intelligence, self-deprecation, experience, and sense of humor make him a uniquely American character. In live performance, Snider's monologues are cheered as much as his songs. But never before has he told the whole story. Running the gamut from personal memoir to shaggy-dog comedy to rueful memories of his troubles and triumphs with drugs and alcohol to sharp-eyed observations from years on the road.

His just released book is titled: “I Never Met A Story I Didn’t Like ... Mostly True Tall Tales" (DaCapo Press)

For our music … who else but Todd Snider hizself!
