Our program will follow-up on our discussion last week on healthy communities, social justice and participatory planning.

Our featured guest is Lynne Elizabeth. Lynne is founder and director of New Village Press. She is the past president of Architects/ Designers/ Planners for Social Responsibility (ADPSR). She is the coeditor of "What We See: Advancing the Investigations of Jane Jacobs" (New Village Press, 2010), "Works of Heart: Building Village through the Arts" (New Village Press, 2006), and "Alternative Construction: Contemporary Natural Building Methods" (John Wiley & Sons, 2000, 2005). She is a contributing author to "Eco-Village Living" (Gaia Trust, 2003) and "Sustainable Architecture White Papers" (Earthpledge Foundation, 2000). She also previously published ADPSR's national periodical, "New Village Journal", which offered themed issues on community revitalization, community-scale economics, and education for community building.

AND … our Senior Texas Correspondent, Mike Johnson will join us. Mike will try yet again to explain his native state to those of us that apparently just don’t get it.

Our music will feature: The Allman Joys, The Hour Glass and The Allman Brothers Band. NOTE: on 9/19/71, they played here at what was then SUNY at Stony Brook, now Stony Brook University. They recorded (and released same decades later) music from that gig here.
