Easy Rider's Peter Fonda and the 5th Dimension's Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis Jr. will be Tom Needham's special guests on the Sounds of Film Show this Thursday at 6 PM on WUSB. Legendary actor, Peter Fonda, will be talking about his classic film, Easy Rider, and many of his other movies.

Also joining the program are Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis Jr. They will be making their debut in the new musical , UP, Up & AWAY! a musical fable at the NYCB Theatre at Westbury on June 9th.

The Paul W. Zuccaire Gallery at Staller Center, in collaboration with WUSB 90.1FM, presents ON THE RECORD: Album Cover Art. Featuring over 1000 albums on loan from Stony Brook University’s WUSB radio station, as well as rare and limited edition album covers borrowed from private collectors, the exhibition is a testament to the broad range of artistic and musical styles across generations.

William DeMeo Discusses New Movie With Alec Baldwin, Mike Tyson, Danny Glover and Michael Madsen on Sounds of Film

Actor/writer/producer William DeMeo will be Tom Needham's special guest this Thursday at 6 P.M. on WUSB's The Sounds of Film.
William will be discussing his new film Back in the Day. It is a gritty New York story about the journey of a half Italian-half Puerto Rican boxer named Anthony Rodriguez from a rough area of Brooklyn. William stars in the film along with an incredible cast including Alec Baldwin, Michael Madsen, Mike Tyson, Danny Glover, Annabella Sciora and Shannen Doherty.

Prince Special - Jazz On The Air

Mr. Edison will be turning Jazz On The Air over to the legacy of Prince Rogers Nelson before the tabloids, comedians, and relatives totally obliterate any idea of a musical legacy. He'll also be turning the show over to the multi talented Marilyn Carino and the welcome input of Rosanne Hoffmann making a rare WUSB-FM return for the sake of Mr. Nelson. Expect to hear influences, collaborations and things that go bump over the airwaves.

Purple Rain's Morris Day and Academy Award-Winner Son of Saul's Laszlo Nemes Interviewed on Tom Needham's The Sounds of Film

Morris Day will be Tom Needham's special guest this week on the Sounds of Film. He will be discussing his relationship with Prince, the music of the Time, and his acting career. Day had a long history with Prince that goes all way back to high school.

Also featured on the Sounds of Film is writer/director of Son of Saul, Laszlo Nemes. The Hungarian film is set in the Auschwitz concentration camp during World War 2, and focuses on one Sonderkommando's quest to give his alleged son a proper burial under intense horrid conditions
