DON'T BREATHE and Evil Dead composer Roque Banos will Tom Needham's special guest this Thursday at 6 P.M. on The Sounds of Film on WUSB.

Roque Banos has created one of Hollywood's most unique scores of the year. For DON"T BREATHE, Roque incorporated the sounds of household objects performed by the avant-garde Anarchestra, known for playing unusual instruments, into the score. He traveled to their studio in Tucson Arizona to record the sounds.

August 10, 6-8 PM: Country Music Star Phil Vassar on Tom Needham's the Sounds of Film

County music superstar Phil Vassar will be Tom Needham's special guest this Thursday at 6 P.M. on WUSB's the Sounds of Film. Phil will be speaking about his recent acting experience in the comedy Chasing Taste. The film follows a down-and-out writer who is transformed overnight into NYC's next big food critic before a freak accident robs him of his senses of taste smell. In order to keep his new-found fame, he relies on a team of super "smellers" and tasters to fake his reviews. Chasing Taste, directed by Sean Gannet, is the winner of Best Comedy Film at both the 2013 Burbank International Film Festival and the 2014 Manhattan Film Festival.

Captain Phil's Planet will air an exclusive interview with Andrew Aydin, co author (with Congressman John Lewis) of the #1 New York Times bestselling graphic novel series March, drawn by Nate Powell.
March just won an Eisner Award at the San Diego Comic con. In this interview recorded last April at the East Coast Comic Con Andrew discusses who he came to work with John Lewis, what it was like to be a comic book fan in a congressional office and how March came to be. Also Andrew will discuss the day in the summer of 2015 when Congressman John Lewis decided to CosPlay at the San Diego Comic Con.
