Bustin' Out Blue Science Review

On Tuesday night, between 9:00 and 10:00 PM, Bustin' Out Blue Science Review will have, from the Wardenclyffe Telsa Science Center, Rich Gearns, Neil Baggett, Marc Allessi and Carl Erikson.

And Dr. Helio Takai will be co-hosting the program and talk about the past present and future of Tesla and the Science Center.

Jane Ira Bloom on Smooth Jazz Radio

On Tuesday, Nov. 14, between 2:00 and 4:00 pm Smooth Jazz Radio's George Rudolph will be interviewing Soprano Saxophonist Jane Ira Bloom about her new album Wild Lines: Improvising Emily Dickinson. Jane has received the 2017 Downbeat International Critics Poll for Soprano Sax and the 2017 Jazz Journalists Association Award for Soprano Saxophone Player of the Year. Her new album sets to music some of Emily Dickinson's most famous works. She will performing at St. Paul's Lutheran Church on Friday, Nov 17th at 7:30 pm. The Church is located at 315 West 22nd Street in NYC.

Celebrating Collaborations on Mystery Train: Friday, 3 pm – 5 pm

Friday’s Mystery Train highlights great new albums by Courtney Barnett and Kurt Vile & Mavis Staples as produced by Jeff Tweedy, as well as dives into their back catalogues.

Also: new music by Beck and Cat Power (I know!), old music by James Brown, Nirvana, Bowie. Tasty covers too. All crammed into two hours of awesomeness.

Pam Grier Discusses Quentin Tarantino, Harvey Weinstein and Florence Henderson on Tom Needham’s The Sounds of Film

Legendary actress, Pam Grier, will be Tom Needham’s exclusive guest on The Sounds of Film this Thursday at 6 P.M. on WUSB. Also on the show, will be the director of Frank Serpico, Antonino D’Ambrosio, and Petra Volpe, the director of The Divine Order, which is Switzerland’s submission for the Academy Awards Best Foreign Language Film.
